 Nutritionally dense. Exotic lipids. Not bad tasting. No fiber. May 28, 2010

An impressive drink mix containing a blend of six different proteins, nearly half of your daily vitamins and minerals, and a unique lipid content (safflower, olive, borage, and evening primose). All this with just 1g of sugars and 3g carbs and 200 calories. The enormous canister might not fit into a kitchen cabinet; so it will take up a lot of counter space. The taste is... alright. Not bad, certainly. But it lacks a certain chocolatey richness. (Metabolic ReStart Chocolate is the best tasting in my book). I'd try adding a packet of Splenda, stevia or sugar-free Nestle Quik if you want a sweeter, more chocolate dessert flavor.
One thing to note, the directions ask for 12-14 oz of water for a two scoop serving. Unfortunately, that's too much for most Bullet type blenders. I made it with 8oz of water and got a thick, spoonable mousse -- which I really liked. I also end up blending one scoop at a time with 6 oz water and pouring both into a bigger glass. I would not recommend hand stirring or shaking. Blending completely transforms it into a velvety texture.
The only thing holding back a 5-star rating is its complete lack of fiber. So, I'd recommend adding a scoop of Myogenix ProFiber to your glass. And then it's the most perfect meal drink I've ever found!

I was surprised at how well this mix tastes. I use a hand blender, and mix it with ice (4 or 5 cubes) and water. Tastes even better with milk, and once in a while I'll throw in a banana and/or a shot of chocolate syrup. Just replacing 1 meal a day, I lost about 8 lbs. in a month, but of course I was also watching what I was eating. The price per serving comes out to about half of the little packets. I bought this and the vanilla, and switch between the two, they both are good.

I was really surprised by this. The taste is fine with milk...not so great with water, but it's good enough for a supplement shake, and it's leagues better than old-school days of shakes tasting like liquid chalk. I'm trying to lose a few pounds, so I use this as a meal replacement at least once during the day and it actually is filling and lasts. I work out a lot and am constantly hungry and this still manages to keep the hunger at bay. I use a Black 28 Oz. Blender Bottle W/wire Shaker Ball and it works just dandy. No complaints here and I will definitely keep buying this and other flavors.

This is a easy way to supplement your protein and omega 3 intake. And most importantly, it tastes great. I have been using Complete Protein shake mix for over five years, I highly recommend this product.
