I started with Carb Solutions, and since have tried two more brands (all vanilla), to compare what's available. I already knew that I like the Atkins shakes, which are in a convenient can. I liked the Carb Solutions and Atkins shakes equally. No aftertaste with either, and I actually do prefer a powder at home, with the blender. I did not like the other two powders.
I first tried Carb Solutions just stirred into water with a spoon, and it stirred up very well, but not as well as the blender, of course, which also gives it a little froth. It tastes very good and curbs my hunger very well. Sucralose doesn't give me an aftertaste. I haven't yet tried with ice cubes, but I've added berries, bananas, peanut butter (no sugar), vanilla, espresso or blackberry powder (for my eyes).
My decision is to let Carb Solutions be my mainstay at home for milk type shakes. Atkins for take with. I also have a greens, vegetables and fruit powder, as well as blackberry powder, and a joints supplement powder that I will blend with fresh fruits and vegetables, for a change.
I allow myself to drink as much as I want of this type of drink and am losing weight. Currently no white carbs is my only rule. I added the drinks to give me a kind of treat, but I find that in the evening, it's all I want - 1 or 2 of these. Keeps me from going whole hog when making a meal, too.
One warning, be careful if you are allergic to some of the types of additives in any of this type of drink. Read the label. Do the research.

Sucralose (Spleccccchhhhhda) and PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED canola oil. TRANS FAT, in other words. Yeah, the Repuke-controlled FDA doesn't require anything less than 1 g of trans fat PER SERVING to appear in the nutritional information, so the scamsters just MAKE THE SERVINGS SMALLER!

This product is tolerable (if you make with cream for those on Atkins, or milk for those not), but it is $10-$12 cheaper at the grocery store.

Why does Amazon charge $31 a can for this mix? You can buy it from Drugstore.com for $12 a can!! If you have a GNC gold card, you can get it for $10 a can during the first week of each month!!! This is a great protein shake mix. I mix this powder 50/50 with Dymatize Elite whey protein powder, then after adding water, I mix that with a low carb Slim Fast chocolate shake.........probably too much trouble for most people, but it's great for me :-) I've been drinking it for breakfast every day for several years. It starts my day of with high protein, low carbs, and I don't get hungry until it's time for lunch.
